Miniclassics presented by The Classic Buskers530_Classic_Buskers___composite___Credit_Eric_Richmond_57_main[1]

The Classic Buskers have a knack of communicating their passion for classical music in two of the best ways possible – their musical virtuosity and a great sense of humour.  Michael Copley plays more than 40 woodwind instruments at incredible speeds, ranging from recorders, flutes, panpipes, crumhorns and ocarinas to a Pico Pipe and a rubber trout, accompanied by Ian Moore on a small but perfectly-formed accordion.

With a repertoire of clever arrangements of works ranging from Baroque classics to opera favourites and folk tunes, Miniclassics is a show that combines accomplished musical seriousness with a strong sense of fun.

Anything for a Tenor My Tutu’s Gone AWOL

presented by Iestyn Edwards / Madame Galina

Classically trained singer, comedic performer and writer, Iestyn Edwards performs a hugely funny and entertaining double bill

As heard privately by Her Majesty, and on Desert Island Discs and a host of other BBC radio shows, Iestyn performs songs as we follow him in his tutu, entertaining the troops on Combined Services Entertainment tours through Iraq and Afghanistan.  Iestyn then becomes legendary Russian Prima Ballerina, Madame Galina. – a tour de force of slapstick farce, quick-witted one-liners and his dancing’s not bad either!

“A rare and perfect synthesis of art and larkiness … the audience howled with laughter”. The Times
